Purge of Voter Lists Removes 536 Inactive Electors
Purging the election rolls began at the county clerk office to strike 536 electors who did not vote in the last election. The cancellations represent about 14 percent of the registration. Comparing years, 791 of 3,535 registered voters did not vote in 1930, while in the current cycle 3,467 of 4,008 cast ballots.
Lutheran Church Dedicated Sunday in Mountana
Beaverhead county Lutherans gathered for the formal dedication of a new frame church at the corner of Pacific and Center streets. The ceremony was led by Rev. A M Skindler with Rev. P B Trelstad and Rev. Q A Schmidt assisting, featuring choir music and a solo by Miss Anna Anderson. A later talk by Prof J Albright followed an informal program. a nearby parsonage is under construction for Rev. Orval Schmidt and family.

Interclass Basketball Tourney at Beaverhead High
The high school hosts the interclass tournament this week with finals on Wednesday evening. In the semi finals Tuesday the sophomore girls beat the freshmen 12 to 2, the sophomore B boys won 18 to 7, and the sophomore boys defeated the freshmen. Eugene Hildreth, four, was crushed by a coal car at the Peterson coal mine entrance, suffering thumb injury. he was stabilized and expected to recover.
