A masked lone thief robbed Dell Hotel proprietors and patrons Tuesday night around 9.00 pm at Dell operated by RR Elliott. He fired a shot to frighten workers, collected cash from the register, and fled in a small car toward the south highway. Bert McNineh alerted the sheriff. the suspect remains at large possibly heading into Idaho.

Game law violation report cites deer carcasses found
Officers found evidence of game law violation after three doe deer were found along Willow Creek by Dewey Heggerty and viewed by Undersheriff Hartwig. The carcasses showed signs of predation and weeks of exposure. A Tutte area party of young men camping nearby is suspected of shooting the deer. About 600 silver black foxes from Blinn Hatton and Forrester Petergon ranches plus some from Dr L F Molleur are to fill Dillon's fur market quota. Pelts are being skinned at the North Montana street store building once Burfield Drug, with a new cleaning machine among four in the U S. The task should finish in about 30 days as expert skinners work, Roy Forrester says the market remains strong.

Salesman Injured When Car Leaves Road Near Armstead
Harry Martin, lubrication engineer for the Texas Oil company, sustained scalp wounds and cuts to his hands when his car skidded on loose gravel and plunged into a gravel pit three miles south of Armstead Saturday. He was taken to Dillon by Sportcer Idaho residents, treated at Barrett hospital, and continued to Butte Sunday. The car was badly damaged.

Two local cowpunchers returning cattle from Centennial valley chased a buck and doe deer without guns. As they closed in near a sheep camp a herder emerged with a rifle and shot the buck, depriving them of the catch and provoking surprise and disgust.

The wife and two daughters of H. Ingalls of Billings have been located on a ranch near Sheridan by the local sheriff's force. Ingalls and his family moved to Billings last July. he left his wife and children there while he found work on a ranch. After failing to locate them during a later visit, he sought help from authorities and a newspaper item aided the search, leading to Mrs. Ingalls being found at a Twin Bridges area ranch where she worked as a cook.

Robertson ex service man and Dillon resident was taken to the Veterans hospital at Post Harrison after suffering a paralytic stroke a month ago. Ralph Sugg Dies in Auto Accident Near Deer Lodge
Ralph Sugg a longtime Dillon resident died Tuesday night when his car overturned on the highway five miles east of Deer Lodge. Passenger Dave Curie of Butte was uninjured. Funeral services were held in Deer Lodge and the body shipped to Providence Kentucky for burial. Sugg was a former part owner of Bond Grocery and had clerked there from 1910 to 1920. He was highly regarded by Dillon residents.
