Large Enrollment in High School Band Grows to Sixty Five
The high school instrumental music department led by Mr. L A Gregory enrolls over thirty percent of the student body. The band expanded from fourteen players in 1925 to about sixty five current members with balanced instrumentation. Students earn activity points through band work, and both boys and girls are evenly represented. The band is at peak playing condition this year and serves many school and community events.

Ag Students and Fathers Banquet Held at High School
Members of the Future Farmers of America and their fathers enjoyed an annual banquet last Saturday evening. The meal featured entirely homegrown dishes prepared by the students. Daryl Hansen presided as toastmaster and spoke on the group’s history while Principal Wahl discussed agricultural education. Members spoke on baby beef sheep swine and potatoes. The tour of the shop showcased student work and the evening closed with pinochle games.

Popular Dillon Couple Married Last Saturday
A wedding at the Catholic church of Lauria united Miss Lucille Funk of Sheridan and Dan Henneberry of Dillon with Rev. Father DeLane performing. The bride, a State Normal graduate and teacher, is daughter of Mr and Mrs R J Funk. the groom, Beaverhead county high school alum and Dillon Examiner employee, is son of Mrs W F Henneberry. Two masked men robbed Monte Burdick place in Bannack, Montana, securing about 800 dollars as patrons were held at gunpoint.
