Woman Burned in Gas Fumes Explosion at Home
An explosion of cleaning fluid fumes at the Bay residence on North Washington street around 10 Tuesday morning burned Mrs Bay and damaged the kitchen and bathroom. She was cleaning garments in the tub when the blast occurred possibly from a kitchen fire. Volunteer firefighters responded and chemicals were used to extinguish the flames. Mrs Bay was taken to a neighbor’s home for care.
