4-H Clubs to Hold Achievement Day in Armstead
Beaverhead county 4 H clubs plan a Saturday Achievement Day at Armstead starting 10 30 AM. The program opens with a one hour radio session broadcast nationally for 30 minutes and statewide from Butte for the other half hour. The event includes club reorganizations, a pot luck lunch, a dress style review by girls, and award of achievement seals and badges followed by a recreation period.

City Garage Building Completes With WPA Help
The city completes a waterworks garage at an estimated cost of 17 137 funded by WPA labor about 12 000 and water fund 5 137. No city tax money used. Project includes a detention room eight car and single car garages and paving between the building and city hall. Stones used came from the razed Normal college dormitory.

New Railway Agent Takes Over Duties in Dillon
B L Chism has taken over the local Union Pacific office in Dillon succeeding A D Sargent who returned to Tremonton Utah. Henry Coulam visited from Butte to install the new agent. Chism comes from Preston Idaho where he served 18 years as Union Pacific agent. He earlier worked at Bancroft Idaho for five years and at Rawlins Rock Springs and Lar amie Wyoming for eight years. He has 31 years with Union Pacific and began railroading at 18 with the Big Four in Illinois. He is married with a family and will reside at 436 North Washington.

Miss Agnes Stefanic and Joseph E. Mautz Jr. were married Sunday at St. Rose Catholic Church in Dillon. Attendants included Anna Mautz and Joseph Stefanic, with flower girls Bernadine Rebich and Helen Boka. The couple, from Beaverhead families, planned a Pacific coast honeymoon before returning to make their home in Dillon.

Graveling of City Streets Is Under Way
WPA crews begin an extensive street graveling program in the city expected to employ twelve men per month for five months. The project covers fifty blocks including near the high school court house and areas along Dakota Glendale and Argenta streets with gravel and equipment supplied by the city. Forrest Bayerd, city engineer, leads, using the city pit a mile west of town for material.

Roundup Warning for Drivers Without Permits in Montana
Patrolman Robert Wright of the Montana Highway Patrol warned that drivers not carrying permits and out of state workers employed in Montana are subject to arrest. A broad enforcement drive will push to issue Montana permits and plates after 30 days. Patrolmen will stop cars to inspect lights and brakes and test braking performance this week.

The Business and Professional Women's club opened a town survey revealing Dillon population 2421 excluding college students with 633 women 744 men and 1015 children. Beaverhead County real estate owners total 2642 and 158 rely on relief while 40 live in public institutions.
