The Beaverhead county Federation of Women's clubs held its semi annual convention on May 21 at the training school auditorium. Odd Fellows and Rebekahs To Hold District Convention Here
Irwin Christenson and Lola Robertson lead dancing in the May fete at Normal college. Apollo lodge No. 15 and Diana Rebekah lodge of Dillon will host the Seventh district convention of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs in Dillon on June 4 with 300 members expected. Delegates from 18 lodges will attend. Dr. Carl B. Taylor of Dillon is president and W. H. Johns of Butte secretary. A morning business meeting, high school gym convention, banquet, and joint session are planned.

Beav erhead Project No 241 Road Let On June 8
County Surveyor George Metlen reports the Beav erhead Project No 241 highway contract will be let June 8 under state and federal supervision. Bids were advertised. The direct north route runs from Lavon crossing near Browne's bridge to about three miles north of Tom Dubois ranch, avoiding curves and the railroad crossing.

C H Chapman Dies After Illness and Infection
C H Chapman died at his North Pacific Street home Sunday around 6 am after weeks of illness and a hand infection. Born October 16, 1854 in Pennsylvania, he moved from Wisconsin to Dillon in 1905 with his family and lived there since. Surviving are two daughters Mrs Louis Selway and Mrs Robert Quacken bush and several grandchildren. The body was sent to South Wayne Wisconsin for burial. Mrs Lillis Selway accompanied the remains east.

Mrs. Cora Andrus Dead After Long Illness in Dillon
Mrs. Cora Andrus former owner of the Dillon hotel died Thursday night at her apartments after a lingering illness. Born December 21 1871 in Beaver Canyon Idaho she lived here 48 years and 22 years in Dillon. She leaves a mother five children and several grandchildren. Funeral Sunday at 2 30 pm at the Methodist church with Rev H B Ricketts officiating. interment in Mountain View cemetery.

One of Beaverhead High School’s largest graduating classes, 47 seniors, completed the term with Thursday commencement exercises and diplomas awarded. The week featured strong attendance and the annual class play The Arrival of Kitty at the gym, directed by Miss Margaret Galloway with cast including Dora Nelson Mildred Carlson Rosemary King Florence Nedrow Arthur Stultz Ralph I. Smith Alden Mast Clyde Sewell and Harold Cashmore. Reverend H B Ricketts of the Methodist church delivered the bac.
