The Dil lon Country Club hosted the first foursome tourney of the year with about 70 players. Gilbert and Vance posted the best gross score for nine holes at 43, while Alvin Jones and Mrs. J. G. Wedum led low net with 36 on a 14 handicap. Multiple pairings produced strong scores and two prize events are scheduled for next Sunday including a mystery contest for ladies and a mashie or blind bogey format for men.

Esteemed Former Resident Mrs West Dies in Longview
Walter W West formerly Laura Guyar of Armstead died Wednesday night at Longview Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness. She was born in Beaverhead county in 1890 and educated in Dillon. Survived by husband, three children Louise Margaret Arnold, brother Henry Guyaz of Salmon, sister Miss Sophia Guyaz of Armstead. Henry Weare of the Montana State Press association visited the city Thursday.

Beaverhead resident William F. Henneberry died of a sudden stroke at his home on South Dakota street. The 1859 born ranchman is survived by his widow, two sons Dan and Ambrose, a brother M. A.
