Panton faces Manslaughter charges in Butte court
Tony Panton of Butte pleads not guilty to a district court manslaughter charge arising from a March 15 automobile crash on the Butte Dillon road that killed Pearl I Smith. Bail set at 2000 by Judge Henry G Rodgers. Panton is currently serving 60 days in jail for drunken driving and was fined 150 on that charge.

Engineer Herman T Blunk Found Dead In Reichle Cabin
Herman T Blunk aged 45 was found dead in his Reichle cabin Sunday morning. A Butte resident for 30 years and born in New Albany Indiana in 1892, he was an engineer. The body was returned to Butte for burial.

Mrs. D L Smith died Monday at ten after ill health. She lived with her son Melvin in Pocatello Idaho and had recently traveled there seeking improvement. Her body was brought to Dillon and a funeral for Thursday at 2 pm at Brundage Funeral Home was planned. She was born April 21 1865 in Canada.
