Arbor Day Trees Planted on Depot Lawn by Scouts
Beaverhead National Forest officials and Boy Scouts observed Arbor Day in Dillon on Tuesday with Birch Creek CCC youths planting 24 evergreen trees on Union Pacific lawn. A 4 pm ceremony honored the day as trees were planted along Bannack and Montana streets under A A Schroeder guidance and with plans by W W Wetzel and Norman Henry.

Tragic Pedestrian Dog Struck On Washington Street
A gray and black spaniel named Snookie was run over and killed today on Washington street. The owner is unknown. residents say the dog strayed from home. The vehicle struck the dog instantly and the collar was taken to the sheriff's office in case the owner calls.

April Term Opens in District Court for Robbery Trial
