Beaverhead county GOP and Democrat conventions will meet in Dillon on Tuesday May 8. Republicans convene at the county courthouse at 7 30 p m to select two delegates and two alternates for the state convention in Helena May 15 and nominate presidential electors. Democrats meet at the Andrus hotel at 4 p m to organize and elect delegates after a 7 p m dinner. Roy Verndon leads the Democrat committee with George Metlen and Sheriff W C Orr.

L W Henry dies after illness in Dillon Montana
Leon W. Henry longtime foreman at the Tribune Publishing company died Friday after a short illness. He was 53 born in Iowa and lived in Montana since 1914. Surviving: wife Ethel, son Donald of Bozeman, sister Mrs George Tomlinson, and three brothers. Funeral held Sunday at the Dokken chapel with Rev H G Klemme officiating.

Police Car Damaged in Midday Collision

A group of Wisconsin farmers purchased six to eight carloads of choice fat steers in the Big Hole basin, inaugurating a direct trading system between ranchers and farmers.
