Funerals Held for Gunman Victims and Survivors
Funeral services were held for Clay Roselle at the Armstead Baptist church under the auspices of Beaverhead Post of the American Legion. Rudy Elkins, a second victim of Jim Nolan, was buried Monday afternoon at Brundage Chapel with Rev. Shannon presiding. Nolan was buried Wednesday. an inquest found Elkins died from Nolan’s bullet and Nolan died by his own actions. Testimony included local officials and residents. no motive was shown. Elkins’ funeral is planned for Monday.

Former Matron of City Lenox Summoned for Funeral
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Margaret Lenox will be held Saturday at 10:80 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic church. Lenox, born 1851 in Bowling Green Kentucky, lived in Dillon since 1888 and in Seattle the last years. Surviving relatives include five daughters Celia Montgomery Anaconda Ernest Knapp Argenta Margaret Henderson and Poland Seattle H O Williams Helena and two sons James P Lenox Portland George Lenox Dillon plus grandchildren.

Easter Services Fill City Churches With Crowds
Easter Sunday services across the city drew large congregations. Methodist and Lutheran churches held both morning and evening services, St Rose's celebrated two masses with orchestra, St James' hosted Holy Communion and a children's program, Sunrise gatherings occurred at Presbyterian and Methodist churches, and Baptist and L D S congregations also held special programs.

William M. Climer a longtime Armstead resident died at his home after a lingering illness. Born May 1 in Whitesburg Tennessee he came to Montana in 1897 and lived in Dillon before moving to Armstead about 1920. Survived by wife a sister Mrs J J Blaylock of Butte and a brother Hugh. Funeral at 2 pm Thursday in Armstead with Rev J A Meeke officiating and burial at Mountain View Cemetery.

Four candidates for aldermen will be elected in Dillon on April 4. Re-nominated at the city caucus are George M. Gosman Albert Seatherly A G Williams and John T Orr. No other names or measures appear on the ballot. Gosman is also renominated for trustee of School District No 10 and will be unopposed. he filled the vacancy after Leonard Eliel's death.

County Bi Centennial Contest Set for April 2
The county declamation contest will be held at the training school auditorium at 2 o clock Saturday April 2. The Dillon Methodist church choir traveled to Lima on Monday evening to present a secret concert at the Lima Methodist church. The program featured choir and male quartet singing, with vocal and instrumental solos by performers including Mrs. W. W. Wahl, Mrs. Joe Newnes, Mrs. H. H. Emery M. Gibson is appointed registrar at the Normal college starting April 1, replacing Louise B. Freeman. Gibson, a Fergus County high school graduate with a BBA from the State University at Missoula, has taught in Beaverhead and Wenatchee and will return to Dillon with his wife. Rotary meeting guests included Ruth Kelly and Craig Anderson who spoke on Washington bicentennial topics, plus Boy Scout and troop 42 speakers. Local Golfers 10 Plan Cleanup Day At Dillon Country Club
The Dillon Country Club schedules a first field day on Sunday April 8 at 10 am with all members expected to work the course into first class shape. A lunch at 12 noon is rumored and the sports committee has lined up trophy sponsors including State Bank Trust, J C Penney, Virels, and Gosman Drag Co. Future Farmers Tour Deer Lodge Farms And Ranches
Members of the Future Farmers of America from the local high school toured Deer Lodge farms and ranches last Friday. They inspected lambing sheds at Mt. Haggin ranch and judged Hampshire ewes, yearling Hereford bulls at Conrad Kohr ranch, and horses including four Belgian mares from Minneapolis and a Belgian stallion. They also examined Duroc Jersey hogs at the penitentiary farm and visited Cash Market slaughter house docking lambs and judging sheep.
