Isaac Edinger a Beaverhead County resident for 52 years and notable early West figure passes away at 72 in a Butte hospital. The Divide stock rancher helped introduce sheep to Beaverhead and was linked to Klondyke frontier days. Funeral held at Dillon’s Masonic Hall with extensive honorary pallbearers listed.

Normal Glee Club Presents Concert at College Auditorium
The second annual music festival at the college auditorium featured the Normal Glee Club directed by Mrs Grace Redburn. The Little Symphony Orchestra led by Ralph McFadden accompanied, with soloists Fred Simone Jim Redburn Jess Wetzel Don Gilbert Jack Gaines and Jess e Whitney. A vocal duet by Donald Scharff and James Veltkamp and dances by Ruth Phelps Nathalie Nichols Norma Hansen Wynafred Steese and Marjorie Tebeau plus violin obligates by Irene Bond completed the program. Ashcraft accompanied. Bert Mooney of Butte, aviation instructor, flew to Dillon Wednesday and will be at the local airport Sunday to take applications.

Dillon Westwoods, a mix of present and former Normal College players, toppled the Broadway Clowns 44 to 41 in a high school gym exhibition. The Clowns dazzled with trick passing but were stymied late as the Westwoods tightened defense and scored the deciding baskets.

Mrs. Lorena Stone Tovey Dies in Dillon
Funeral services for Mrs. Lorena Stone Tovey wife of William D. Tovey were held at St James Episcopal church after she died at Barrett hospital. She was born in Helena on December 1 1898 taught in Lima and Wisdom later settling in Dillon and was active in Mizpah chapter and the Episcopal church. Surviving are her husband two daughters a mother a brother and a nephew. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery. Pallbearers included Fred Chapman Walter W Grimes and others.

George Kennedy captured first place in the Beaverhead county high school extemporaneous speaking contest held in the high school gym. He will represent the district in the April district contest and potentially Bozeman state contest, with a scholarship to a University of Montana unit for the state winner. Second place went to William Boetticher with topic Our New Spoils System. third to Bob Reeves on The Effect Old-Age Pensions Would Have on the United States. Windmill stolen from East Bench Farm case unfolds
Giles Mihelich was arrested by sheriff's officers on charges of stealing a windmill from the Perry Waters ranch on the east bench near Dillon. The sheriff said Mihelich planned to convert the windmill into a trailer for his car. Waters said he would pursue charges.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Bondage chapel with interment in Mountain View cemetery. A former Dillon resident, Mrs Giberson was buried beside her sister. Rev. Thomas Ashworth of Butte led services at White's funeral home and Eastern Star rites were given at the Masonic temple in Butte.
