Emergency Crop Loans Available in Montana
Montana farmers may obtain emergency crop loans from a $40 million federal fund if they cooperate in the A A A production control program and cannot obtain credit elsewhere. Loans range from 25 to 250 dollars at five and a half percent, with crop liens to be announced. The program covers this year only, with limited use for livestock feed in designated drought areas.

Ranch Hand Elmer H. Pickett Dies in Jackson
Elmer H. Pickett 68 a Big Hole basin ranch hand died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday afternoon. His body was found in front of a Wendell Jardine ranch barn near Jackson and taken to Dillon. Survived by two sisters and a brother. Funeral services held Sunday at 2 PM at Brundage funeral home led by Rev. J A Meeke.

Bergin Escapes County Jail After Night Break
Bert Bergin, held on a petty larceny charge at the county jail, escaped through the courtyard during evening meals. Undersheriff McCollum failed to stop him as Bergin fled. he is also a suspect in a sheep camp robbery and has not yet been recaptured.

Events included boxing basketball stock judging grain judging a rifle meet and a tour of the state penitentiary with a banquet and show.
