Car Crash Near Dillon Hospital Leaves Injured
Rulon Hyatt of Shelley Idaho faced reckless driving charges after his car veered off the road near the hospital on the southern outskirts of Dillon. He was fined 50 dollars after arraignment. Ida DuCette suffered serious injuries and Hyatt had several broken ribs and facial lacerations. The crash occurred about 4 15 am and cut hospital power. patrolman Robert Wright and deputies investigated.

Beaverhead valley reports its first million dollar snow last Thursday bringing a wet moisture laden blanket to Dillon and surrounding countryside. Ranchers and farmers welcome the moisture as ground is not frozen and should absorb a large portion of the melt.

Hurley Leach Dies in California After Long Illness
Hurley Leach, longtime Dillon and Beaverhead County resident, died Saturday in a Long Beach hospital after a prolonged illness. He was born October 24, 1869 in Creston Iowa and lived in Beaverhead since 1896, later wintering in California. Survived by his wife, a daughter Mrs. Martin Edwards of Oakland, and three brothers James and William of Dillon and Otto of Roundup. He belonged to local Masonic and Shrine bodies. Due to flood conditions, funeral arrangements were not yet set.
