Dillon Chamber considers new county high school project
The Dillon Chamber of Commerce board endorsed pursuing a new county high school building and authorized continued study. Conrad Orr reported on proposed buildings with floor plans. A subcommittee was set to raise funds for transporting the drill team and band to the state cage tourney in Anaconda. Principal Grr announced plans to take 48 drill girls. band will have 22 members. A spring clean-up day was referred to the civic improvement committee. A semi annual financial report was given. four new directors will be elected in April with a nominating ballot and a final ballot on April 11.

City crews washed streets for the first time this year in a routine operation clearing mud and improving drainage after a recent rainfall. Public works officials urged motorists to drive slowly through damp sections.
Beavers Head Toward State Championship
Dillon basketball fans expect a large out of town turnout as the Beavers advance to the state round robin in Anaconda. The team won decisively at Livingston beating Broadus and Three Forks before routing Powell County 37 22 to clinch the divisional Class B title and earn a spot in the state tournament.
Death claims Beaverhead ranchman J Waldemar at Grant
John Waldemar of Grant Beaverhead county died at his Horse Prairie ranch after a brief illness last Saturday. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 PM from Brundage chapel, with interment at Mountain View cemetery. Born April 15 1864 in Mount Pleasant Utah he lived 38 years in ranching near Grant and is survived by five sons and five daughters.
