Albert M. Hansen, 24, native of Deer Lodge and longtime Dillon resident, died Sunday evening after a severe influenza illness. He worked at the Hartwig theatre and held a federal short wave radio license, a rare Dillon achievement. Funeral services were Tuesday at Grace Methodist Church with Rev. J. A. Meeke officiating.

Charles W. McLaughlin, a longtime Dillon carpenter, died at his South Atlantic street home Monday morning after a lingering illness. He was 48, born in Iowa, and had lived in Dillon 20 years. He leaves his widow, a son Clifton, a brother Roscoe, and three sisters Mrs. Florence Wyatt Mrs. Iva Wells and Mrs. Edith Card. Funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Baptist church with Rev. R. O. Shannon officiating. interment in Mountain View Cemetery.

Boy Scouts saluted the flag, Don ald Lee and others performed a patriotic medley, Father Lechner spoke, and Killen Brady read a Washington paper. Old-Time Resident Flora Duncan Dies in Los Angeles
Miss Flora Duncan a Madison County pioneer teacher died last Friday in Los Angeles after a lingering illness. Born December 10 1867 in Philipsburg she lived much of her life in Madison County and taught in local schools. Her parents were Alder Gulch settlers and her father the Rev Hugh Duncan organized Montana territory's first Sunday school. Her body was brought to Dillon and then to Sheridan for interment. she was well known in the city.

At the courthouse Friday night, Dillon Boy Scouts were advanced in rank and merit badges awarded. Troop 14 won a $2.50 prize for best attendance with 72 relatives and friends. nine for Troop 42 and one for Troop 40 attended. James Kelly became Life Scout.
