Fire Destroys Rubbish Heap Near Southard Home

Popular young people wed in quiet Montana ceremony
Friday June 19 at the Lenox home Estelle Lenox and Lansing Waldorf were married in a ring ceremony by Rev. J A Meeke. The bride wore a blue travelling suit with pink roses and was escorted by Morse Waldorf. After breakfast at Miss Clara Plant’s, the couple left for Glacier Park and Watertown lakes en route to Glasgow Montana. Waldorf, an electrical engineer, is a Beaverhead High and University of Seattle graduate. Mrs Waldorf, a Normal school graduate and former teacher, is well regarded. The bridal party included numerous local families and friends.

Tragic Auto Crash Claims Death Of 3 Year Old
Dorothy Nye, 3, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Nye of Monida, died Saturday when a car she rode in with her mother and two brothers overturned near Desmond ranch on Horse Prairie. She was thrown against the windshield as gravel caused the vehicle to skid and go over an embankment. Her mother Mia Nye suffered shock and minor bruises. the two boys were unhurt. The body was returned to Dillon and funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Survivors include her parents, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Nye of the Centennial, and several uncles and aunts.

Carl Hansen of Dillon is elected to Septemviri at Montana State College, announced by President Alfred Atkinson.
