The new federal post office building at Idaho and Sebree in Dillon opens with doors to postal business. Built for $80,000, the structure features a Georgian mansion style, 700 bronze boxes, and space for forest service and county extension on the upper floor.

Stabbing Fray Wounds Man Near Armstead
Sheriff deputies answered a noon call to Armstead where a man later identified as Fred G. Stillwell suffered five wounds in a stabbing affray near the jungles. Dr. W. H. Stephan aided at Barrett hospital where Stillwell was listed to have a fair chance for recovery after hours without aid. Three men were arrested. officers had not returned to Dillon by press time.

Charles Horn longtime greenhouse proprietor here died last Tuesday in Helena after illness. He lived in the community about twenty years and was active in local business circles. He is survived by his widow and four children. The funeral was held Saturday in Helena.

George J. Reis aged 50 died after a lingering illness at his mother's home in Dillon. He came to Dillon at age four from Point of Rocks and leaves a large family including two sisters and three brothers. Funeral was held at Brundage chapel with Rev. F X Lechner, interment at Point of Rocks cemetery. His parents were Virginia City pioneers Stephen T Reis and Ella M Wilcomb.
