Beloved Dillon Matron Louise Taylor Dies at 80
Mrs Louise Taylor died Wednesday evening at her daughter's Dillon home at age 80 after a year of ill health. Born January 1 1858 in New Brunswick she married William Taylor in 1881 and later moved to Dillon in 1897. Survivors include son Levant Taylor five grandchildren and two great grandchildren two brothers C H Gross and H E Gross. Funeral services were held at Brundage chapel with Rev R O Shannon, and interment followed in Mountain View cemetery with pallbearers listed.

A Butte man Timothy J. Sullivan was swept to his death in the Big Hole River after a small river ferry overturned near Dewey. He was attempting to cross the stream when the ferry capsized and he nearly reached the opposite bank before drowning.

Louis Anderson, 77, a longtime Beaverhead County resident who had worked locally before moving to Alaska, was fatally injured in a mine accident near Mc Carthy. He was born in Neckland Sweden in 1860 and had recently returned to Beaverhead County after his brother Peter Anderson’s death. Mrs. Cora Anderson of Dell, his sister-in-law, received the news.

About 12 to 15 Dillon Cub Scouts will attend the cub camp at Camp Lowlands near Trask on the Butte Helena highway from July 3 to 10.
