McFarland Wins Eliel Trophy at Dillon Country Club
Dr. A. H. McFarland shot 74 for eighteen holes at Dillon Country Club Sunday to win the Eliel trophy tournament with a four over par. Prof. I. J. Foor was second with 79 and Ralph Harding third with 84. all played under an eight stroke handicap yielding net scores of 66 for McFarland, 71 for Foor, and 76 for Harding.

Veteran Civil War veteran William M. Reed dies in Dillon
Beaverhead county mourns the death of William M. Reed, born April 2, 1846 in Freeport Pennsylvania. A former adjutant of Steadman Post G A R he moved to Dillon in the 1880s ran a cattle ranch, retired in 1910, spent winters in California, and was active in veterans work. Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church Thursday afternoon.
