More than a million and a half pounds of Beaverhead and Madison county wool sold in a late week buying spree at the First National bank wool warehouse. Top price 21 cents for the Gleed Bros. Lima clip sold to Liberman of Chicago. Others fetched 20 cents from Poindexter and Orr and Cantrell and Henderson. Different buyers, including Foster Bros. and Eiseman, Inc., purchased several large clips amid ongoing rain hampering shearing.

Death of Dillon ranchman Frank Koontz after illness
After about three weeks of illness Frank Raymond Koontz well known Beaverhead valley ranchman died at his Dillon home Tuesday morning. Born January 1 1881 in Warrenburg Illinois he came to Dillon from Colorado Springs in 1910 and lived here mining and ranching. He married Alice Sapp in 1910 and is survived by his wife ten Dillon relatives a Sherman of Armstead three grandchildren a niece and a nephew. Funeral at Brundage chapel Thursday at 2 pm Rev J A Meeke officiating with Mountain View cemetery burial.

Youths Arrested for Car Theft in Dillon
Two Dillon youths, Tom Bennett and George Vanham Dodd, were arrested by city policeman Bob Gordon Saturday night near Glen after allegedly stealing a car belonging to the Paddock and Tyre garage. The car, parked on Dillon Street, was chased after by the driver who alerted Gordon. The youths fled despite shots whistling past the car.

Former Dillon Resident Dies In Arkansas
Halleck D. Jewett 47 of Dillon died Monday night at Mountain Home Arkansas after moving there last June for a lower climate. A linotype operator for 12 years at Tribune Publishing, he was active in the Methodist church and a noted singer. Survivors include his wife and children Annette and Bobby. Funeral held in Indianola Iowa.

Suspect Held In Robbing of Liquor Store
Ace Ross, paroled in April after a robbery sentence, is held as a suspect in a Sunday liquor store robbery. Sheriff Paul Temple and Chief Charles Nelson arrested him after a broken rear window was found. Two quarts of whiskey were missing and a quart of the same brand was found in his possession. Footprints matched Ross and tools used were traced to Oleys Electric Welding Shop. He may be questioned about the Hartwig theatre robbery.
