Ranchman of Big Hole Found Dead
The body of Bill Bailey, age ranchman of the Big Hole basin, was found in an abandoned shack on the Spannath ranch near his home. Sheriff James McCollum directed searchers who located him Wednesday afternoon. Bailey had shopped in Wisdom on December 24 and rode to within a mile of home before attempting to walk the rest in heavy snow. He lay in a cabin by the road with his fur coat spread over him, likely the victim of a heart attack. No relatives are known.

County clerks will assist the state board of equalization in distributing blank forms as income tax returns are due by April 15. Returns may be paid in full or in two installments. no filing fee this year. Filing thresholds: single or married not living with spouse with net income 1000 dollars, married with net income 2000 dollars or more, gross income 2500 dollars requires filing. Car Hit by Locomotive on Helena Street Crossing
Mrs Jack Deputy drove across the Helena street crossing last Friday evening when a switch engine struck her car. The occupants escaped injury though the auto was dented and damaged. Snow caused wheels to slip and brakes failed to hold despite attempts to stop.

Death of Ralph Sebree. ex-Dillon resident dies near San Francisco
Ralph Sebree, longtime Dillon figure and former First National Bank employee, died January 21 near San Francisco after years of ill health. Born in Salt Lake City, he helped start Dillon’s football program and led early basketball and baseball teams. He is survived by his widow, owner of the Metlen hotel, and two California brothers. His father was a Sebree, Ferris, and White partner who helped found Dillon.
