B Joe Metlen of Beaverhead County, veteran lawmaker and longtime House member since 1929, was named chairman of the revenue and taxation committee for a second term. Accidents on Highways Listed Near Barretts and Twin Bridges
Reports detail two highway accidents in Montana last week. Tom Hain of Idaho Falls drove a Buffet Taxi vehicle into a guard rail near the lime quarry south of Barretts, with no injuries among five aboard. he posted a $10 bond and faces a Montana license and permit charge before Judge George Opp on January 18. James Yeo of Butte rear ended a sheep wagon on Highway 41 north of Twin Bridges. Steve Salich, wagon driver, was ordered to appear before Judge Maley for driving with no clearance lights and posted a $5 bond. the Butte driver was uninjured but his car sustained significant damage.
