Legion minstrel dates set for March in Dillon
Beaverhead post of the Legion announced the minstrel and vaudeville show will run Tuesday and Wednesday evenings March 3 and 4. Tickets go on sale Thursday at Hughes and McCaleb’s with loges 1.50, main floor 1, balcony 0.50. The show features Amos ’n’ Andy in a two-department program with high school and Normal College student acts and local sketches.

Verona Smith received Salt Lake clipping announcing Major Dansie, former Beaver star, breaking the Intermountain A A A indoor standing broad jump record. The University of Utah student jumped 9.88 feet, surpassing the 1907 mark by C. M. Baysinger. Friends here celebrate his athletics achievement.

Dillon Banks to Change Schedule
The First National Bank and the State Bank and Trust Company in this city will adopt a new hours schedule effective April 1. Pioneer Sheeppman of Beaverhead Claimed
Ernest O Selway a prominent Beaverhead sheepman died in Butte after a week long illness. Born February 14 1870 he helped found the Selway Sheep company and was a notable rancher and local leader with deep pioneer roots. The death came as a shock to the community.

Melrose Couple Wins First Prize at Ball
Mr and Mrs McLoughlin of Melrose captured first prize for the best costumed couple at the masquerade ball Monday night. Mr and Mrs Louis Schmittroth of this city won second prize. Mrs Worth took best lady comic character, and Monte Walker earned first for best men comic outfit. The dance was one of Dillo's most enjoyable events in some time.
Rotary Talk Highlights Medical Science Progress
Dr. L. G. Dunlap of Anaconda spoke at the Rotary luncheon on medical science development. He likened medicine to a house with science as foundation and medical economics as the roof, tracing the field from infancy to modern discoveries and noting 42 percent of deaths are preventable today.

Many Dillon Elks Enjoy Butte Trip
More than fifty members of Dillon Lodge No. 1654 and their ladies toured Butte last Saturday evening. They were guests of Butte Lodge No. 240 for a sixty third anniversary celebration featuring a vaudeville and a dance. The drum and bugle corps led a parade through the business district with local corps, and activities included a Fox theatre vaudeville and Elks temple reception.

Beavers Win First Tilt in District Tournament
Drawings for the district tournament were held in Butte with 12 teams present. Beavers open Friday at 2 pm against Butte high after beating Mount St. Charles 30-15. Tournament tickets are on sale and awards will be given after the title game Saturday night.
