Hawley J. Selway longtime resident of this city died at his home in Santa Anna California on Monday. Born May 31 1879 in Beaverhead valley near Dillon he ranched in Horse Prairie area focusing on pure bred horses. He later moved to California about ten years ago. Survived by widow a daughter Berthana two sons Francis and Ralph and sister Mrs Charles Carlson of Tendoy Idaho. Funeral held Wednesday in Santa Anna. Alex Peyre of Dell attended to business matters in the city Wednesday.

Fire destroys shed on East Bannack street
A shed or summer house behind a residence on East Bannack street owned by Wm. H. Wilson was largely burned shortly before 5 o clock Wednesday morning. Officials say hot ashes near the structure started the blaze, marking a second such fire in the city and Fire Chief Vandegrift warns residents to keep ashes away from sheds and frame buildings.
Health survey in Beaverhead County reveals vaccination gaps
The welfare council reports Beaverhead County employs local health staff including two part time medical officers and two district nurses. Of about 1430 children ages under one to 14, 465 attend Dillon district schools and 457 attend county elementary schools. Only 200 Dillon pupils show satisfactory smallpox vaccination scars and 183 children received diphtheria immunization in 1932, mainly from Dillon. Publicity committee notes alarming findings and promises further reports.
