Livestock values in Montana rise by about four million
Montana's total livestock value on January 1 1926 reached 94.206 million dollars, about 4 million higher than 1925. Cattle total 40.96 million, sheep 82.342 million, horses and colts 16.128 million, swine 4.2 million. Number changes show declines in cattle and horses, gains in sheep, with detailed counts and milk cattle figures.

Stimpson to ship carload of mules next spring
George Stimpson a rancher south of Dillon plans to ship a carload of mules to St Louis or York Pennsylvania in late February. The 22 hybrid mules include several over 3000 pounds and some well matched teams. The animals are tame pets in the Stimpson herd and will likely fetch good prices for spring work stock in the east.

Death Summons Well Known Resident of Dillon
Henry C. Crittenden known as Dad in Dillon died suddenly Thursday afternoon in the Dixie Vieck after a pneumonia illness weakened by a heart attack. Born July 9 1846 in Belvedere, he lived in Beaverhead County since 1909 and worked as a buyer for Felix and Marston before moving to Dillon 15 years ago. He leaves two daughters Helen Northwood of New York and Libby Crittenden and a son Henry R. of Tobar Nevada. funeral plans not set but Chicago is expected for the burial.

High School Short Course Gains Valuable Instruction
Beaverhead county high school hosts an agricultural short course this month with lectures on modern beef production dairy practice crop rotation and soil fertility.
