Beaverhead county mourns veteran sheepman Stephen Cook who died in Salt Lake City after a two week illness of cancer and complications. Born April 16, 1854 in Arkansas, he homesteaded on Sage creek in 1888 and built a large stock business with 3400 acres. He retired in 1918, later lived in Fresno before moving to Salt Lake City.

DeWitt Pleads Guilty in Assault Case
