Three Killed in Great Northern Wreck
In a headend collision between passenger trains Nos 1 and 2 the Orental Limited on the Great Northern Tuesday three men were killed and several injured. Mistaken orders caused the wreck.

Dillon Public School opens second semester with staff changes
Last Monday Dillon Public School began the second semester. New faculty members Mrs. M. E. Gannon of Anaconda and Miss Mae McCartney of Dayton Ohio take on duties previously handled by Miss Eva LaBeau and Miss Katherine Paxton. Paxton and LaBeau resign as Paxton joins the High School faculty and LaBeau goes to Madison Wisconsin. LaBeau expects to leave town tomorrow visiting her sister in Omaha then Chicago before university studies.

Denton Had Narrow Escape at Lover's Leap
Denton Oliver escaped serious injury when a fractious bronco bolted near Lover's Leap tailing a dog. The wagon and two horses pitched over the road into a slough, but Oliver leaped into Willows and saved himself with only minor scratches.

Clark's Works Destroyed in Butte Fire
A fire destroyed the Clark concentrator at the Butte reduction works, causing about half a million dollars in damage. Four hundred workers were affected, with roughly 40 out of work while others will be reused in debris clearing and reconstruction. The blaze began around 1 30 a m, leaving charred ruins and scattered machinery at the site.

Miss Burfiend Undergoes Surgery for Past Injury
Miss Emma Burfiend, former Salt Lake City Business College student, was operated on at Sisters' hospital after a basketball injury from Twin Bridges two years ago. Doctors found no appendicitis and expect her to recover at home in about three weeks. Mrs. Henry Burfiend traveled to Salt Lake City for news and plans to return once her daughter is able.

Zeigler Family Pioneer Dies After Four Months Illness
Mrs. Charles Zeigler of Zeigler Springs died at home January 20 1906 in her 66th year after a four month illness. Final interment was January 21 1906 in the local cemetery amid many friends. She was born in Indianapolis March 21 1841 and married Charles Zeigler in 1862. The couple joined westward migration in 1865, settling near Twin Bridges and later establishing Zeigler springs.

One titled Good Morning depicts a deer and a duck on a rocky cliff. the other shows a tranquil mountain scene with a lake framed by woods. Prisoner W A Gordon Held on Burglary Charge in Silver Bow
Clerk Hazelbaker received a letter from assistant county attorney Walker of Silver Bow county inquiring about W A Gordon records. Gordon is jailed in Silver Bow on burglary charges. He previously served two terms for jail breaking after being sent from this county in 1899. While held here for robbery he escaped jail twice, was cleared of robbery, but convicted of jail breaking.
