At a Beaverhead county agricultural conservation meeting in Bernard Williams office J C Ferguson Reichle was elected president succeeding J H Keenan. Floyd Kenison Dell is vice president and William Carroll Jackson is third board member with Luther Smith as alternate. Committees were elected in four districts with named chairmen. Inspections for the 1938 range program begin January 1 and farmers must complete practises by then.

Christmas Vacations Start For Local Schools
Holiday recess begins for Normal college and grade schools on Friday and for the high school on Wednesday, with Christmas programs winding up the week. Teachers plan holiday trips to Billings Red Lodge Miles City and Bozeman while Dillon hosts faculty at home. Plans Made to Issue License Tags for 1938
Beaverhead county officials announce the 1938 auto license plates will be issued after the new year under a new method. Registration starts January 3, since January 1 and 2 are holidays. Plates will be obtained from County Treasurer Miss Bertie Mathews instead of the state registrar at Deer Lodge. Taxes for 1938 must be paid before licenses. owners present their 1937 registration card to receive two state prepared registration forms.

Dillon Churches Plan For Joyous Christmas

Irvine and Cottom potato farm from Beaverhead County led the Montana State Corn Seed and Potato show with top honors in the certified seed division and multiple awards in the commercial class. Mrs Alvin Owen of Armstead returned home after caring for her mother Mrs James T Scollard in Belgrade. Mrs Scollard a former Dillon resident died December 12 and left eight children 27 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The Beaverhead County High School Future Farmer group hosted its annual father and son banquet in the high school music room last Saturday night. More than sixty attendees heard speakers including A.
