Eminent Templar Official Visits Dillon Montana
Percy M. Doles of Havre eminent commander of Knights Templar of Montana spent Friday in Dillon visiting St. Elmo commandery. He spoke at a banquet at the Masonic lodge rooms and led a business meeting with Beaverhead county Sir Knights. Mrs. Doles joined him for a Dew Drop Inn dinner and a theatre party at the Normal college auditorium hosted by local ladies.

Lieutenant Governor F A Hazelbaker returned from a six week overseas trip and spoke at the Dillon Rotary about England France Belgium Holland and Germany. K L Fairbanks of the Normal college staff was elected commander of Beaverhead Post American Legion at a Monday night meeting at the Sugar Bowl. Other 1981 officers named include James C Harris vice commander Georgie M Gosman finance officer Parke T Scott historian VT Callahan chaplain Warren Sutherland serjeant at arms and Dr I M Poindexter Louis Schmittroth and J C Jeppson executive committeemen. A proposed plan to pay 80 percent of adjusted compensation certificates to needy veterans was discussed with a committee to report at the next meeting. The group plans to review ex servicemen attitudes nationwide before acting. The session was enthusiastic signaling a revival of interest for 1931.

Death of Lima Resident Patrick Flynn at 80
Patrick Flynn a former Lima resident died last Sunday after a lingering illness at Beaverhead county farm. He was 80 and had worked on local ranches for years. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Brundage chapel with Rev. F X Lechner of St Rose Catholic church officiating and burial in Mountain View cemetery.

Governor Hazelbaker Skids on Icy Road in Dies Creek Crash
While driving to his ranch in the Big Hole basin on Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor F. A. Hazelbaker lost control on an icy turn in Dies Creek vicinity and the car rolled over on the grade. He was uninjured aside from a few bruises and returned to Dillon with Roy and Mrs. Roy Jackson.
