Last Regular Session of Beaverhead County Board

The Beaverhead county board of commissioners held its last regular meeting of the old board with all members present. They adjourned to December 17 to hear a remonstrance over granting a saloon license and awarded contracts for poor farm services and county jail work, set road and fence projects, and reviewed property valuations and clock tower installations.

Regulations for Forest Reserves in Beaverhead County

Be advised that much of Beaverhead County becomes a forest reserve under county and federal control this year. The revenue from reserves funds county needs and ranger patrols. Residents may occupy land with permits and must not cut timber or interfere with reserve purposes. Prospector timber use is limited to actual needs. mining timber outside claim lines is not allowed. No agricultural land claims top open until classified as chiefly valuable and listed.
