Jones Dies Suddenly in Los Angeles
William Jones, longtime merchant and manager of the Western Lithographing Company in Los Angeles, died suddenly of heart trouble at his home early last Monday evening. He recently returned from a health world tour. Jones once ran a prominent grocery and grain business here as Jones & Davidson before it merged into Montana Mercantile Co.

Mrs. Clarence S. Doak Dies After Illness
Mrs. Clarence S. Doak died last Tuesday evening at Barrett hospital after a several week illness including appendicitis and related complications. Born in Hamilton 36 years ago, she married Mr. Doak there and spent most of her life in the Bitterroot valley aside from four years in Twin Bridges and Dillon where the family resided briefly after relocating to the city.
