Beaverhead mourns William G Blair one of two surviving Civil War veterans in the area. Born November 14 1844 in Tennessee he joined the Union at 17 serving two stretches with Sherman in Georgia. He settled as a rancher in Horse Prairie later retiring around 1915. Burial with full military rites followed at Mountain View.

Old Bank Book Key to Fortune
In a Monday hearing Judge Lyman H. Bennett named Co. G Christiansen of Plentywood administrator of the estate of Ole Peterson a former partner of Theodore Nelson. The estate includes about 10 000 in an account at First National Bank. Peterson died in Norway on April 15 this year and left a bank book found after months on the floor of a Norwegian home. He left Dillon for Norway in 1899. M A Brattland an attorney for heirs traveled from Ada Minnesota to settle the estate.
