Ranch Matron Dies After Long Illness At Dillon Home
Mrs. Margaret Kruljac 45 wife of Adolph Kruljac well known Beaverhead valley rancher died at her Dillon area home last Sunday after a lingering illness. Born in Austria August 16 1894 she came to the United States in 1910 and married Kruljac that year. Survived by husband eight children including Mary Mukvach Dillon Margaret Bianchi California Rudolph Bert Frank Jeffery Lillian Bernice all of Dillon her mother Annie Severinsky Dillon four brothers Rudolph Dillon John and Joe Butte Charles Chicago and one grandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 am at St Rose Catholic church with Rev Father F X Lechner celebrating requiem high mass.

Joseph B. Poindexter governor of Hawaii has arrived in Dillon to spend a few days with his brothers B. L. and Dr. F. M. Poindexter. He is en route to Honolulu after a Washington D C trip and was honored at Hawaiian day at the New York World's Fair on August 8. He made no firm plans for his Dillon stay but may visit in Butte.

City Council Sets 1940 Budget Levy at 17.5 Mills

Two prisoners face hearings in justice court
Judge Louis Stahl presided Thursday afternoon as Bill Cunningham faced second degree assault charges from a Claude Lapham ranch altercation near Jackson. Cunningham pleaded not guilty and was bound over to district court with a $1,000 bond. The complaint accuses him of striking James Kennedy with a sickle bar from a mower. R. E.
