Mrs Knoll Dies In Grasshopper Section at 67
Lena Knoll 67, longtime Grasshopper valley resident, died Thursday morning August 4 at her son-in-law and daughter Otto and Ethel Pahnish ranch near Bannack after a long illness. Born in Nurtingen Germany April 10 1871 she came to the United States in 1890 lived in Idaho and Bannack Beav erhead County most of her life. Surviving are husband Carl G Knoll four daughters Mrs Fannie Pahnish Bannack Mrs Blanche Likes Idaho Falls Mrs Frieda Tash Polaris Mrs Esther Nelson Dillon two sons Carl L Knoll Butte John F Knoll Polaris eleven grandchildren a brother Louis Kolb Iowa and three sisters in Germany Funeral services were held Saturday at Brundage chapel Grace Methodist Church with Rev J A Meeke officiating burial at Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Byron Nay Andy Pyle Will Pahnish Dewey Marchesseau George Harrison and Walter Paddock.

Girl Scouts Camp Near Dillon Climaxed With Rally and Parade
The Dillon Girl Scout Council wrapped up a six week summer program with a rally and parade. Mrs Harold Warner thanks all who contributed. Special recognition goes to the P T A for home visits and registration, Miss Marjorie Hamer, student teachers, and many volunteers including Mrs Arnold Clair and Mrs Wilber Squires. Roscoe Cornell donated the camp site and Leroy Gilbert erected the flagpole. Continued on Page Five.

Centennial rancher Charles Rody dies after brief illness
Charles Rody aged 76 well known rancher of the southern county died Friday night at Barrett hospital after a brief illness. A native of Illinois he lived in the county about 45 years operating a Centennial valley ranch. Survived by his widow and two children Gustav and Dora Rody of Lima. Funeral Tuesday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Lima with Rev A W Nelson officiating and burial in Lima cemetery. Pallbearers named J D Brandenburg John Halligan Henry Fitter Charles Calvert Emery Keller Leo Truax.

Lee McCracken prominent Dillon businessman suffered painful though not serious injuries when his car overturned on Badger pass road west of town as it skidded on loose gravel. James Harrison of Grasshopper found the wreck and assisted in bringing him to Dillon.

Idaho youths arrested in Rigby car theft case
Sheriff's officers on Sunday arrested Lowell White and Ralph Colburn of Idaho on a charge of stealing a car from Rigby. Colburn was released after claiming noninvolvement, and White was returned to Rigby on Monday.
