Thibadeau, Dillon Bookkeeper, Dies of Heart Attack
Wallace W. Thibadeau died at home on Tuesday morning from a heart attack. A Canadian native and Dillon resident for twelve years, he led Dillon Audit Co with strong local bookkeeping ties. Survived by widow Bertha, three sons and two daughters, services set for Friday at Masonic Hall with interment in Mountain View cemetery.

Montana Normal Holds Summer Commencement Exercises
The Montana State Normal College held its summer term commencement in the college auditorium with diplomas awarded to many graduates and three degrees conferred. The program included processional, address by Ruth Phelps, violin by R J Albright, and the conferring of diplomas by President Sheldon K E Davis. An arts exhibit, a candlelight procession, and a special assembly by Dr. Alonzo Myers preceded, with a final base excursion noted Saturday.

Two young men identified as Allie Christensen and Monte Merz were taken from Armstead by Deputy Jesse Brown and held in Dillon on charges of passing three worthless checks totaling 44 dollars. They admitted the act and face arraignment. three checks drawn on State Bank and Trust Company bore signatures of O. V. Bennett J. C. Bennett and J. R. Bennett to Joe Day.

Aged Pioneer of County Laid to Rest in Dillon
Episcopal rites were held at Mountain View cemetery for Charles Y. Reeder a Montana pioneer and Dillon founder who died in Los Angeles at 97 from a broken leg fall. The long time freighter and later sheep raiser kept strict funeral wishes and was interred with a small ceremony. He came to Virginia City in 1865, helped form Dillon projects, later lived in California and South Africa, and is survived by a daughter in California.

Dillon sheriffs and deputies captured two suspects believed to have swindled Basin rancher Antonovich of 6000 dollars in a suitcase game. Albert Hoffman and George Orlovich, with driver Jack Yellica, were turned over to Butte officials after $3116.92 was found with them and two $1000 bills later spotted on the suspects. The men denied involvement, Hoffman claiming he received the bills for safekeeping.

Death of Bert Lewis at Barrett Hospital
Bert Lewis a former ranch employee in the Big Hole basin died at Barrett hospital Tuesday evening after a two week illness. He worked on nearby ranches for years and was about 60 years old. A son and brother in Oregon and a daughter in Nevada survive. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

City Council Plans Lighting District Citywide
