The two story Gilbert ranch home near Mountain View cemetery burned from a roof origin likely due to a defective flue. Leroy Gilbert was away in Helena. Mrs. Gilbert and her young daughter and nephew escaped as neighbors fought the blaze. Loss around $2,000, partly insured. Earlier, a hut shed behind the James Patrick residence on North Pacific was also destroyed by a late night fire.

Youth Sentenced in Miles City Case
Henry Johnson a 14 year old son of Hans Johnson was committed to the state industrial school at Miles City by Judge H G Rodgers last Monday afternoon. Man Sentenced for Burglary of Standard Lumber Office
