Morse urges Montana and Beaverhead county girls to enter the National Meat Story Contest. About 838 Montana girls have already joined 11,000 nationwide, with two to three thousand more entries possible before the May 1 deadline. The contest awards 300 to the national champion and 100 to 10 per district, plus four regional prizes.
Easter Sunday services grace Grace Methodist Episcopal Dillon feature a sunrise Epworth League gathering at 6 30 am. The program includes offertory Nocturne by Chopin, anthem Victory by Monfort, solo by John Denning, hymn Christ the Lord Is Risen Today and postlude Alarehe Pontificale by Gounod.
A L Stone president of the State Bank of Dillon argues in The Fall of the Wheat Empire that wages must support a large family, farmers must diversify and urban bankers and merchants must aid farmers. He warns 20 percent of farmers may be ruined unless prices and costs are rebalanced. The Montana Banker piece in Tribune urges reflection on local food production and economic policy for workers and farms.

The First Baptist Church announced Sunday events with Sunday school at 10 am and worship at 11 am on The Risen Christ, and 7:30 pm services on So Great Salvation. 6:30 pm Young People 17 to 88, 5:00 pm Junior and Intermediate unions, and 7:30 pm Wednesday choir practice. New members added last Sunday include Miss Dorothy Sharp, Miss Sarah Banks, Miss Mabel Haroon, Mrs. A A Harper, Miss Freida Wright, and Mrs. L. McCloud. Special Master keeping services noted for Sunday.
The League will not hold an evening session. Sunday school begins at 10 a m with strong attendance urged. The 11 o clock public service will feature Easter music and a sermon. Odd Fellows and Rebekah attendances honor a Dillon custom. The 8 o clock evening program features Sunday school children. A warm welcome is extended to all worshippers.
Miss Jean F Bishop director Miss Fosther Reed organist and Miss Evelyn M Sinclair pianist invite the community to attend a music program presented by local performers. The event aims to showcase talent and support forthcoming performances.

A brisk raw wind powered Turner Camp’s first annual Boy Scout kite flying tournament last Saturday. Burness Farrel won two prizes for altitude and sustained flight, while Hiram Brunadge Jr. earned third for best built kite. A younger boys tournament is planned.
Mrs Reba M Graham field secretary of missions from New York will tour Montana for the Women's Presbyterial in Butte April 22-23 and speak in Dillon April 18-20. The Methodist Episcopal Sunday school presents an Easter program Sunday at eight. The lineup includes Hymn 184 I Love to Tell the Story entire class prayer led by Rev. Smith a vocal duet Mildred Taylor and Burl Scully An Easter Acrostic by Helen Erwin a vocal solo Grace Ewing and recital Ring Easter Bells by Mrs. Noah Allen from her Apex area home.
R. J. Bradshaw, a Payette Idaho bee keeper, unloaded a carload of hives in Dillon this week. He plans to install hives from Barretts to Twin Bridges and expand the business this summer. Swarms locally have had limited success, but Bradshaw is the first to launch on a large scale.
Clyde Rann and Jim Kelley were visitors in the city on Wednesday and Thursday, staying for meetings and engagements with local officials.
Beaverhead county commissioners hold regular session April 7 8 1924 with Chair A L Anderson and O C Gosman present and Shaw absent. They approve March minutes, rent rock crusher to Pacific Coast Gypsum Co Tacoma on a 15 percent share of $1600 value, address Bloody Dick road no county road, receive fencing petition from Wise River residents, and allocate funds for Polaris Springs road and Big Hole Park Highway. Deliberations on delinquent Big Hole Irrigation taxes deferred. Inmates at county poor farm require a pass to leave the farm.
