Beaverhead County Commission Hears Road, Tax, and Staffing Actions

Beaverhead County commissioners met April 7 1919 reviewing last session minutes and approving district consolidations. They credited 1658.06 to the general road fund from automobile registrations for 1918 and disallowed a railroad tax refund after review. They ordered road work changes and set deputy salaries per state bill. The board appointed several officials, approved claims, and reorganized road districts with three resident commissioners and a general supervisor structure.

County officials payroll and claims approved for March

The court approved the March payroll totaling 2 607.50 and authorized warrants from respective county funds. Claims allowed include printing supplies, telephones, stamps, court expenses, county attorney and sheriff costs, school board and superintendent expenses, road work, and poor farm support with numerous named vendors and individuals.
