A large audience gathered Tuesday evening at the high school gym to view forestry department moving pictures free of charge. The schedule lists showings in Armstead Medicine Lodge Grant Lima Dell Reichle Bannack Jackson Wisdom Wise River Dewey through mid April, featuring big game, seed germination, time lapse shots, timber harvesting and logging in the Northwest, plus three reels for taxpayers and a fire drama.

Light vote cast at polls Monday in Dillon wards
Dillon city election drew light turnout with Al Featherly at 26 and Himo Winn at 19 in ward two. George Gosman won ward one with 15 votes, John T. Orr without opposition in ward four with 14, while ward three saw several write ins led by George H.E. Baker at 13. Lima also held a municipal vote, the lightest in Dillon history, with top five totaling 90 votes. A Glendale Atlantic street paving contract was awarded in Helena to J. C. Maguire for 38 797 73, work to start promptly.

Easter Observed With Strong Church Attendance in Dillon
Easter was celebrated in Dillon with large church attendance and devout worship. The cool windy weather kept some finery home but merchants reported strong pre holiday sales. blooms from State Gatehouse Floral and others topped a record sale. Sermons were excellent and music fitting, marking a religious climax to Lent.

State Liquor Store in Dillon Sees Big Day
The Dillon state liquor store opened last Saturday in the former Sam Arndts hardware building on North Idaho Street. Two truckloads of liquor arrived Friday night and a several hundred dollars worth of whisky gin Scotch and other liquors were sold that day. The store operates daily 12 noon to 8 pm except Sundays and holidays with Grace B. Orr named as assistant to the Dillon board. St Rose guild will meet Thursday at 3:30 in St Rose hall hosted by Mrs John Gelhaus and Mrs J W Kinney.

Camp Meetin by Dillon Choral Club at Hartwig Theatre
A large crowd enjoyed the Dillon Choral club production Camp Meetin at Hartwig theatre on Wednesday. The two hour show featured about 30 plantation melodies spirituals and modern negro songs with dances sketches and performers led by Mrs. W G Gilbert and augmented by the Dillon Lyric quartet and city vocalists.

Wonder Train Attracts Dillon Residents To Depot
Hundreds gathered at the Oregon Short Line depot to glimpse the streamline Union Pacific train which arrived at 10 17 pm and departed for Butte a few minutes later. The silver emblem of modern rail travel drew admiration and many will return for tonight’s riturl trip arriving at 6 08 and departing 6 18. Some Dillon residents also rode to Butte on the company invitation.

Edward T Hungate longtime ranchman of the southern county died at his Dell home after a lingering illness He was born July 18 1868 in Alhois state and married Olive Shepherd in Virginia City on September 26 1889 Surviving include four daughters three sons twenty three grandchildren a sister and a brother The funeral was held at Lima Presbyterian Church A postmaster exam notice and a forgery conviction are also reported Pete Berness received a one year Deer Lodge prison sentence

Dillon Lodge No. 513 Loyal Order of Moose was instituted here last Saturday with 50 initiates. Supreme Dictator Al J. Sartori led the ceremony in Spokane. Seth N. Chesley and officers from several towns guided the event. Officiating officers include Jack O'Donnell as dictator and Karl L. Fairbanks as vice-dictator. About 160 to 200 attendees heard an inspiring address from the supreme dictator.
