The Dillon Rotary club named committees for the coming year at today's luncheon led by President J. H. Gilbert. L. K. Migs Glenna Yonce and Ji A Beckler won the two ball mixed foursome at Dillon Country Club in a playoff tying with Mrs Caswell and Paul Byananian. Yonce and Boonie posted a net 46 to the rivals 52, after each couple tied at 40 earlier. The final match featured a birdie at the ninth as weather cleared and 68 players plus 200 spectators saw a well run event boosting women’s golf in Dillon.

State Contest Audition Set For Local Vocalists

Dillon enters National Radio Audition sponsored by Atwater Kent Foundation and will send a vocalist to Missoula next month for the state contest. The Dillon representative will be chosen at a competitive concert Friday night at Normal College auditorium with the city's best singers. Winners advance to a San Francisco district audition and then the national event. President S. E. Davis of Normal College formed an audition committee: Dr. W. H. Stephan, Rev. Father F. X. Lechner, Miss Lenore Thompson, Miss Vivian Rober, Miss Clara B. Adams, Mrs. W. G. Gilbert, D. A. Galt and R. M. Albright, with Miss Rober chairing. The Friday night contest will be judged. open to boys and girls, but so far only girls have entered.

Occident Better Baking School Set for Dillon

A Russell Miller Baking school led by Miss Lillian Shaban will run Thursday Friday and Saturday afternoons at the Cushing building in Dillon. The free program starts at two each day, inviting all ladies of Beaverhead County to attend and learn variable uses of one master bread recipe.
