New Church Planned by Baptists in Dillon
Dillon's First Baptist church, among the oldest in the city, will be razed and a new brick church built after trustees and congregation approved the plan. The South Idaho street site near the federal building was deemed unsafe for public gatherings due to deterioration from past earthquake damage. Schedules Restore Standard Time in Beaverhead Schools
With standard time return, Beaverhead county high school and Dillon public schools will switch to pre war timings. The high school will run 8:20 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. starting Oct 1, with elementary and Bagley and primary buildings adjusting opening and closing times to align.

Potatoes Eligible for CCC 1945 Loan Program in Beaverhead
Beaverhead county farmers may receive Commodity Credit Corporation loans on potatoes under the 1945 loan and price support plan. Loans at 3 percent interest are available on potatoes stored in approved facilities with repayment due by next April. Delivery and storage rules, including a September price of 1.85 per hundred for U S No 1 netted gems, are set by the county AAA office with applications due by December 15.

Plenty Hunters Few Birds As Season Opens
Beginning last Thursday hunters could shoot migratory waterfowl for eight days before sunrise but birds were scarce. The community saw limited success as even eager sportsmen failed to reach limits and kept any finds to themselves.
Funeral Services For Otto Gosman Held In Dillon
Funeral services for Otto C. Gosman Beaverhead pioneer and former county official drew mourners from across southwestern Montana. The Rev. Lewis D. Smith led the Episcopal church service at St James with Masonic lodge graveside rites. Interment followed at Mountain View Cemetery beside his grave.
