Galt D A Galt county ration board chairman told Kiwanis members that Beaverhead residents have responded willingly to rationing and that a cooperative spirit aids wartime effort. Beaverhead county will start a countywide scrap drive on Oct 5 led by Chairman George M. Gosman. The 6 month iron and steel quota is 407 tons with an average of 135700 pounds monthly, plus needs for tin cans rubber rope and rags. Sheriff deputies traced a possible murder after a missing Butte woman reported Sunday night. Blood tests confirmed human blood from a stain on the west side of the river bridge near Dillon.
