The Dillon Chamber of Commerce sponsors a retail sales clinic next week led by W. E. Elisno, state director of distributive education. Sessions begin Monday Sept 21 at 8 pm and continue Tuesday and Wednesday for store owners managers sales staff and prospective employees. Topics include personality development salesmanship types of customers oral persuasion handling people language of the salesman and five steps to a sale. Funeral services held for Francis P. Bulger at St Rose
Funeral services for the late Francis P. Bulger were held Friday at 10 a.m. at St Rose Catholic church. Requiem mass was said by Rev. Father F X Lechner with burial in the Burlington family plot. Pallbearers were Frank Madden Walter Stamm John Collins J C Wedum F M Carr and J E Kelly. Bulger, a prominent Dillon man, died Wednesday at Barrett hospital after months of illness.

Dillon Gun Club Traps Hosts Last Registered Shoot
Thirty gunners from southwestern Montana gathered at the Dillon Gun Club for the season finale. Walter S. Jones won the singles with 99x100, Crossen of Livingston took doubles 47x50 and was runner up in singles with 98. Renfro finished one behind in doubles but won the handicap with 48x50. Mrs Thilda Peterson died last Saturday morning at her home 611 South Pacific street. Funeral services were held at Grace Methodist Church with Rev J A Meeke officiating. She was born March 8 1887 in Mjolgget Sweden and married John Peterson on May 15 1907 in Butte.

Dr. A. H. McFarland, formerly of Dillon, died last Saturday night in Hamilton after a heart attack. Funeral held at Salmon, Idaho, where he practiced osteopathy after moving from Dillon in 1925. He is survived by his wife Blanche Garland of Dillon and several relatives who attended the service.

Electors Urged to Register Before Friday Deadline
Two days remain for electors to register for the November 3 general election. The deadline is Friday at 5:00 p.m. No registrations accepted after that time. About 100 electors have registered at the county clerk’s office since the July primary, with more at deputy registrars in outlying precincts. Those who did not vote in November 1940 or used absent ballots must re register. failure to vote in the primary does not affect registration. Lamb shipments from Beaverhead begin this week
Beaverhead county lamb growers start shipping 60 000 to 70 000 lambs to feeders in neighboring and midwestern states this week with total Beaverhead Madison area output more than double. Sam Ditty notes about 85 percent sold at 12 cents per pound, top bracket up to 12.75, and a cold spring reduced the lamb crop by an estimated 25 to 30 percent. The lighter weight stock and earlier schedule mean the county will realize well over half a million dollars.
