Incubator Installed at Barrett Hospital
The incubator bought for Barrett hospital as a Dillon project by the American Legion Auxiliary was installed last Wednesday under Miss Helena Murphy state health nurse supervision. Nurses were trained and Miss Murphy will return as needed. Auxiliary organizers raised 100 for the unit with donations from Rotary and Kiwanis clubs Volunteer Fire Department Beaverhead Chapter of the American Red Cross and local club groups.

About five million trucks 150000 buses and over 50000 taxicabs must hold war necessity certificates from the Office of Defense Transportation starting Nov 15 to obtain fuel tires and related items. Merrion and Wilkins Auctions in Billings sold 2,728,900 pounds of wool from 2,953,100 offered over three days. Prices ranged 37 to 55 3 4 cents per pound, average 46.24 cents. A top of 55 3 4 cents per pound was paid for an original bag wool from Clara Grosfield of Big Timber. Buyers included 31 firms from Montana Wyoming and the Dakotas with 946 growers represented.

Death Calls Matron Here Last Monday
Mrs. Mary Rebecca Connelley, 68, died last Monday at Barrett hospital after a period of illness. Born May 3, 1874 as Mary Rebecca Mast in Ervin Kansas, she came west with her parents as a child and settled in Dillon in its early days. Her long years of dedicated service to local households earned community affection.

Frank Little former Dillon resident and high school star has accepted the coaching job at Park County High School in Livingston to be near his parents. He succeeds J A Thompson who led Livingston for 11 years and moves to Idaho Falls high school. Little previously coached in Glendive securing the 1940 Class A football title and is remembered in Dillon as a BC HS football star and a notable boxer and wrestler from Oregon State College.
