Review of Montana Wool Market for 1906 Season
The Montana wool market closed with widespread disappointment for growers as prices dropped from 13 to 24 cents, more wool shipped east, and major clips like C. M. Blair and John T. Murphy moved to eastern commission houses. Billings and Lewistown saw large sales while Great Falls prices remained lower. prospects point to active sheep trading this fall with ewes at 3.50 and lambs around 2.50, feeder buyers expected from the east. Arnold Holter purchased 15,000 head for delivery after shearing.

Range Cattle Steady with Westerns Dominant
Western range cattle held steady amid demand for good quality steers and weak for common grades. Receipts near 6 000 with prices from 4.00 to 5.10 for westerns, natives lighter, rail and export orders slow, tomorrow expected to bring larger western runs and overall dull but steady trend.
