Normal College Opens as Enrollment Surges in Tenth Year
The State Normal College marks its tenth year with record first day enrollment of 1448, far surpassing last year. Faculty already busy with entrance exams and class assignments as students from across Montana and three other states register. many graduates land positions statewide. John A Taylor, a Dillon native, wed Julia Myrtle James of Topeka Kansas, in a quiet morning ceremony at the parish house with Rev Chas McGlynn. Immediate relatives attended a wedding breakfast at Mrs Elzy Banks home before the couple’s return to city circles.

Sad Death of a Dillon Girl Cora Ellen Taylor
The seven year old Cora Ellen Taylor daughter of Mr and Mrs Benjamin B Taylor died in Butte on Sunday after ten days of appendicitis. She was taken to Murray hospital where she died at 1 80 o clock Sunday morning. The body returned to Dillon for a 3 pm Monday funeral at the Methodist church conducted by Rev W A Winters. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery.

Butte Livestock Show Tops With Ribbons For Local Entries
The Butte fair featured a livestock parade with about fifty head including a notable Arabian trick horse owned by C A Smith and purchased after showcasing in the Sella Floto show. Former Dillon Doctor Dead in Bonner at About 45
Dr. Edgar A. Brooke, a veteran Montana physician, died about 10 o clock after a week long illness believed to be stomach trouble with heart disease as a contributing factor. He practiced in Butte Virginia City Dillon Neihart Missoula Stevensville Philipsburg and Bonner. Funeral will be held Wednesday at Marsh chapel under the Modern Woodmen lodge auspices.
