Record Year for Sheep and Wool Markets in Beaverhead County
This year’s wool market in Beaverhead and Montana counties topped previous records with high prices and strong trading. Notable deals include 5,000 head of wether lambs bought by Knollin Sheep Commission at 3.25 per head, plus other lambs sold around 3.15 to 3.25. Total clip value estimated near 330,000 dollars, with overall county receipts around 330,000 to 330,000+. The report credits ideal weather, strong eastern demand, and the reputation of Beaverhead lambs for broad buyer interest.
