Lutheran Meeting Closes With Western Montana Session
The Lutheran Intermountain Circuit meetings in progress since yesterday will close tonight with the fifth session attended by pastors and district officers. The Women’s Missionary Federation also held sessions at the Lutheran church under the theme Christ and His Church. Speakers included Rev. A. M. Skindlev of Spokane and district W M F president Mrs Ed Granmo along with several Montana pastors and circuit officers. Circuit officers were elected this morning.

Montana State Normal college plans a homecoming game next Saturday against Intermountain Union at the fairgrounds. A record crowd is expected after a 7-7 tie in Helena last week. The event is sponsored by the MN club the Women’s Athletic Association and the Kampus Kadets with a Friday pep rally and Saturday night dance. Girl Scout Card Party Draws 70 Attendees At St James
Over seventy people attended a public card party at St James guild hall last Wednesday for the local Girl Scout fund. Brothers Sentenced to State Prison for Larceny
John and Edward Emory pled guilty to larceny in district court before Judge Lyman H. Bennett and received 18 months in the state prison. The pair, with Pat Ryan, were linked to stealing a saddle, spurs, bridle, and other items from Dan Smith at Woods Livestock ranch north of Dillon. Wis dom, Oct 29 Special Mr J P Lossl gave Wisdom Woman's club library a copy of the Big Hole Breezes Vol 1 No 1 dated Sept 16 1898 printed in Jackson by John N Armstrong. Armstrong and family moved from Gibbonsville in June 1898 to start a Wisdom paper but lack of facilities and a blacksmith delayed it and they settled in Jackson. Continues on page 8.
