Well Known Dillon Contractor Grant Kenison Dies

Grant Kenison, longtime Dillon resident of 35 years and contracting businessman, died at Barrett hospital after a heart ailment. Born February 10, 1871 in Prescott Kansas, he moved to Dillon in 1899 and leaves wife and son Percy L. Kenison. Funeral was held Saturday.

Coach Urges Support Of High School Athletics

Bea verhead county high school coach Carl A. Ross told the Dillon Rotary Club last night that community support for high school sports is essential and that athletics are funded by student fees and ticket sales only. He stressed building football foundations in grade school days.

Armistice Day events planned by Beaverhead Legion

Beaverhead American Legion will organize Armistice day activities in Dillon next Monday. A Hartwig theatre program at 10:30 a.m. will feature music and an address by County Attorney T. E. Gilbert. In the afternoon Beaverhead High faces St Peter's of Anaconda at the fairgrounds, marking a first meeting in years. A Legion banquet and a city hall dance follow with ex service men invited.

A 12 year old boy, Warren Harding, son of Mr and Mrs Ralph Harding, was rescued by search parties after going missing in the mountains above Argenta last Sunday. He endured a harrowing ordeal before being located and brought to safety.

Delivery of Sheep Pelts Starts Here

Beaverhead county ranchers will begin delivering condemned sheep pelts to the First National wool warehouse as soon as possible. County Agent Bernard Williams said dates will be fixed by him and Burl Stevens was named as AAA receiving agent. Pelts must be dry and in good condition. the county allotment is nearly filled and ranchers with additional sheep to sell should contact the county agent.

Forty Four Get Federal Pay College

At the November faculty meeting of the Normal college the program includes addressing commencement activities and personnel issues related to FERA workers. Forty four students are earning about sixteen dollars a month under regulations at the institution.

Legion Plans Minstrel Show In Dillon December

Beaverhead post of the American Legion coordinates a December minstrel show renewal. Earl L. Fairbanks named by Commander J. Wedum as manager, with vaudeville acts music and dancing. Local talent forms the cast. Two performances likely at the training school auditorium. Previous years drew capacity crowds.

Dillon residents report the so called meanest person the dog poisoner active last week three dogs killed two owned by Clyde Sewell and the ONeil family another owner unnamed a public reward funded by local dog owners to catch and convict the suspect and Boy Scouts urged to watch for suspicious actions such as meat scattered in the area
